River of Remembrance

The halo around the full moon beckons me to its illuminated clarity in the darkness of human existence.
I see the throne of eight lions sitting on the clouds shimmering in the light of refuge.
Innate radiance pervades everything as the dakini’s weave a tapestry of awareness wisdom.
Purification and purity merge into the oneness of their originating form.
I see my breath as just steam in the coldness of unknowing.
I see warmth as just a spark in the expanse of space and timelessness.
I see my life force as just a hair about to break.
Yet, the lineage calls out from their clustered seats in the sky.

Namo, the lineage.
I respect, venerate, and have gratefulness for those that have come before to help and assist mankind.

Namo, the Buddas.
By honoring the supreme achievements of the Buddas, I elevate my own mind so that one day I can also serve mankind.

In their arms I lay my head to rest.
Sleep is not the goal but calm wisdom and the revealing of truth.
I lay in the sensations of humanness.
Such sweetness interlaces the emotional karma of the past.
I release my accumulated wealth for something else.
Who will walk with me in this journey to return?
Will it be you?
Will it be all of you?
I know nothing but the song in my heart.
I call to those souls whom have sliced their feet on the sharp illusions of their own mind.
I know that you are there.
You trickle in slowly like drops of water melting off the glacier in the warming light of spring.
This trickle will soon become a river of love nourishing the seeds of my remembrance.
My head aches with the surge of energy from the breaking of past karmic suffering.
Flows realign in my body in familiar ways unknown to this incarnation.
I weep in the connections of love that are flowing once again to me.
Thank you for your intractable hold on me as I struggle to free myself from my illusion of separateness.
Thank you for the gifts of those souls who are gifted in the Vajrayana arts.
I am slowly and humbly awakening.
